Dove back in after all these years

Hello everyone
Just a short note about me and my new soon to be nano-reef.
I just received a 14g biocube,as a gift,from my children for Yule. Now, I've been away from reefkeeping for perhaps too long. Many reasons and excuses to have given up something I enjoyed,but neither here nor there,I wont waste your reading time with details. However, my family has no clue as to the "Saltwater Reef Freak" they have just unleashed.
In the past, a looooooooooong time ago, I had a 250g reef and needless to say, that was about all I owned--you all know what I'm talking about. I cared for this tank for about 7 years,then the divorce,and the rest is self explanatory.
So, with all this new tech and equipment available I am about to embark on a new project. I would appreciate any ideas,experience and knowledge-cant get enough of the latter-that I can get.

You've definitely come to the right place... This forum is like no other. Help is only a post away, and the members of this forum are chomping at the bit to do just that...HELP. I my self have only been here for a short time, and I refuse to go anywhere else!

Welcome back!
If i can give any advice on that paticular aquarium i would say, Invest in two things, A Sapphire skimmer and some kind of small chiller to keep the water temp right. I have that nano sitting on the shelf in my garage right now because i was missing those two things. If you plan on keeping sps you will need to upgrade the lighting also.

Thanks for the advice Frankie. Right now I'm looking at a nano arctica chiller from dr.f&s and a 3.24 lighting mod from nanotuners. Hope to hear from you again soon. Will let you know when it's up and running.
