| Tunicate | 10 Gallon Invert Tankxperiment Hello, Have a live-rock tank that I started about 2 years ago as a curiosity: 3-4" aragonite about 20lbs of live rock gradually accumulated over 1.5 years, some type of encrusting small polyp coral, some zoanthus, a couple of types of small hermits, a pair of cheap snails, sand-sifting star, peppermint shrimp, ALOT of arthropods that all look like a shrimp/roach/mantis small bristle worms all those small orange-headed ones small peanut worms several types of small feather duster worms I don't do water changes. There is really only about 5-7 gallons of water in the tank. Basically I have been only adding water I have treated every week or so. I have a heater and the tank stays at about 80-85 degrees year round. Salinity kept on the high side. One 145GPH powerhead and a hang on Whisper 30 filter with only the mesh that I do not change and no charcoal. I toss in some phytoplan about daily or sometimes freeze dryed daphnia I throw in some frozen mysis shrimp every couple of weeks. Thanks for reading this post. I welcome any questions or response positive or negative. |

| Manta Ray | Re: 10 Gallon Invert Tankxperiment Welcome to RS. Just wondering what, if any, conclusions have been drawn from your experiment? Sounds fun. Why the high temp? Why the high salinity with no seastars? Why no waterchanges? These are not challenges, but extreme curiosity! Very interested- Greg
