| Tunicate | new member I am a new hobbyist. I have had my 55 gal. tank for about 2 years and have gone thru 2 phases of fish. Pretty expensive hobby to say the least. I have passed the greenhorn stage and now have found and fixed the problems. A year has passed and I have been pretty pleased with the results.... And all of the sudden, out of no where... New problems emerged! I guess it takes a long time to establish a tank and new little friends that I am not sure are good. That is why I am here. I have these little (which are getting bigger) worm-like growths on my rock. They look similar to grub worms. It has a tappestry appearance as if woven. It feels like a grub worm, kind of soft and mushy but pretty tough too. Anyway, I will probably be asking a slew of questions about upcoming problems and sharing new ideas. I am still new at this and would like to learn much more. ![]() |

| Hey!Its not my fault ![]() | Re: new member Hello welcome to RS.. The things that come to mind from your description are feather duster and some form of sponge. Both are nice filter feeders and wont be a problem for the tank. They are beneficial to the tank.. But with out a picture it is hard to tell. Again welcome to RS
