| Tunicate | Needed something to spend money on :) Ok, not really. So far it hasn't been too expensive. I just started a 29 gallon Bio-Cube in Newport Beach, CA. Been away from having a tank for a long time and just got the itch a while back to get into maintaining an aquatic ecosystem once again. Cheers! |

| Neon dottyback | Re: Needed something to spend money on :) As you point out, you are just getting started. Generally as a rough guide, I tell people that they will spend between $35 and $50 per gallon of water in the main display tank by the time they get the tank fully stocked, and all the other odds and ends they need. In other words, that $29 gal tank will end up costing you about $1015 to $1450 by the time you are done. However, it is often possible to spread the cost out so it's not too much all at once. This is not an inexpensive hobby. You'll find plenty to spend your money on!(smile) |
