Welcome. Salinity is a bit low. I believe on a natural reef it runs closer to 1.025. There are buffers out there that can keep the ph higher, but kalk in your top-off is the best method. Depending on the bio-load 1-2tsp per gl of top-off water will keep it at around 8.4 and higher and 30mg distilled vinegar per gl along with the kalk will usually keep it at around 8.3 plus the kalkwasser will help to precipitate the phosphates out.

Wanted to update everyone who has been helping me. My tank looks soooooo much better and less green. My new skimmer is kicking butt too. Alsomy levels were checked by my fish place and she said the are dead on and the best she has ever seen from my tank! My levels were never toxic, just a little off. Im so HAPPY!!!! I did another water change and filter change today. It looks so less green ,I cant believe it!!!

Looks like you are well on your way. Just one more suggestion... You might also consider limiting the light in your tank for a few days to inhibit algae growth.

You guys rock!! Yes I actually have cut my lighting back 2 hours, is this too much or too little or good to go???

You could probably get away with a pygmy angel like the flame, coral beauty or a potters angel. But be forwarned that they can nip at corals if you plan on having those down the road. My coral beauty stands up to 2 clowns just fine. I think he likes to antagonize them. I also made sure their anemone was at one end of the tank so they could have their own corner.

p.s. - Welcome by the way and yes it will get better.

I woke up this morning and my tank is clear! Still slight cloudy,but man Im so excited at how it looks today!
