| Tunicate | new on site Hi, I am new on here, just started a 24 Aquapod reef (have been doing larger tanks for years...so I have already gone through all the kinks and errors that come along with this hobby. Does anyone have comments on the 24 Aquapod that will help me save some time or trouble?? Aquapoderek |

__________________ 265 Gallon Reef built into basement wall. Lighting = 6x250 watts MH, 2x96 watt PC ,and 2x140 watt VHO for a total watt of 1,972 watts . New addition on 4-14-07 of 100 gallon sump and 100 gallon refugium. I think I have lost my mind. Gotta love this hobby VickiLife is like a pathway of untrodden snow. | Elegance coral | Re: new on site Hi there! I've been working the bugs out of my pod. I got rid of all the stuff out of the back except for 1 sponge for emergency qt and stuck some carbon back there.I changed the pump to a mj900 (runs a little cooler). I have a sapphire skimmer and with a poly filter. I did a lighting upgrade too. |

Remove the sponges unless you want to clean them severak times a week, Be sure to check the very bottom of the back chambers since they squash one down in the very bottom that is easy to miss. I have mine plumbed into my reef so I haven't done any mods other than removing the hood primarily for heat reasons.
