| Harlequin Tuskfish | Re: Hello from the UK How many US gal. would your Nano be???.....Anemone's can grow to be quit large, especially if they are of the LTA or carpet type....if they get to close to your coral's, your corals could be stung to death.....BTW, Welcome to RS!! Nice to have you aboard.

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Hello from the UK Welcome to RS! Glad tp have you here. Is it a possibility? Yes. Is it going to be difficult? Yes. Anemones require a couple of things that you need to know. They need strong lighting. Preferable MH. So you are probably going to need to upgrade the lighting. They also need a well established system with stable water paramaters. It is generally recommended that you wait until your system is a year old before getting one. They have very slow metabolism and deteriorate slowly. They can have a problem months before you see any outward signs and by then there is likely nothing you can do. It would be much easier to either not have the clowns host (They do not need to host and will be fine without) or you can add corals to your tank. Many clownfish will host in a variety of corals. I have a maroon clown that hosts in a scrolling frogspawn. I have heard of them hosting in a variety of lps and soft corals. They are easier to keep than an anemone. Particularly in a small system.
