at the bottom of the post window is a white scale,if you press mine you will receive 3 wishes, naw,really its a nice way to say thank you for help, or show support when somebody has trouble, dont forget to sing your name or you cant tell who gave it to you. Negative karma is if you dont like something said or done and that person is tied up and tortured for weeks.At the top of each page is user cp, go there now and you will see the karma I sent you.Steve

Welcome to RS! As you have found lots of friendly helpful people here.
The Karma thing is kind of like a rating system in a very loose way. You give someone karma for doing or saying something well. The more posts you have the more karma you give each time as well. So basically someone with a lot of karma has been around a while and has helped people out, has a great tank, etc.
Hope that helps explain it a bit.
