Hi

Hello, My name is Derek. I Have a 15g reef tank stuffed with live rock from my old 55g that my dad keeps now. Me and my wife bought our first house and its a little on the smaller side, Hard to justify taking up a whole room for a "Fish Tank". I have 3" of sand, jebo canister filter, Rena top light 100w heater, Odyssea 9w sterlizer, a few power heads, Current 10000k 50/50 PC, Moon light, Had a fisson nano skimmer now its in a box somewhere. As far as live stock; Pair false Percs, Peppermint shrimp, 12 snails, 1 red legged hermint, Feather duster, 2 tubastrea frags, 1 green star frag, 1 zoa frag, few stalks of Xenia, 1 mushroom polyp, had a damsel finnaly caught him.
My tank is 4mo old coraline is growing slowly, I test for Ca, Phos, dKH, Nitrates, Nitrites, Ammonia.

My eyes are bigger than my tank, it takes alot of will power not to over stock , or put corals in that will out grow my small tank eventually. I just remind myself that someday I will have a tank more suitable for my addiction.

I'm rather new at reef keeping and on a very tight budget with our new addition to our family, My son Tyler born on 11/21/06 who I love very much.
I'm a full-time firefighter for a nearby city and work a second job so my wife can stay home with our son. I have many hobbies reef keeping being my favorite!

Re: Hi

Hello and Welcome to RS!
You'll be upgrading before too long! LOL
Not purchasing every coral you see will be the tough thing to do and before you know it......you'll be looking at the larger tanks!

P.S. Firefighters Rock!
