| Tunicate | Re: New To Nano Thanks for the quick replys. I bought a 24 gallon Nano Cube which I should have any day. How much LR and Sand should I use? Was looking to maybe do some mushrooms and maybe a goby and some pistol shrimp. I know with the standard lighting I am kinda in line to only keep some of the corals that require less light Any help would be appreciated Thanks -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for the quick replys. | Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: New To Nano Welcome to RS! Well to get you started, you generally want about 1 -2 lbs of live rock per gallon of water. The sand is very much a matter of opinion. I know bare bottom tanks that are fabusous, DSB tanks that are great, and anything in between as well. I have 1-2 in in mine so i am in the in between category. LOL You wshould be fine with mushrooms and a lot of the softer corals. I have mushrooms, zenia, zooanthids, yellow sun coral, orange sun coral, and several gorgonians in mine, but it is a seahorse tank so a bit odd. lol Start with the tank, lights, water, rock and sand then work on the coral and fish choices while the tank cycles. ![]()
