I am new to the saltwater reef hobby. Infact, I haven't gotten one yet. Currently I am serving as an Army Engineer in Iraq. I plan on buying a tank when I get back to Louisiana. I have my eye on a 65 gal one but I might be looking for one on here too.

Welcome to RS! Lots of friendly helpful people here.
You are already doing the best thing and researching first. That is something I really wish I had done more of.
Are you planning a reef tank or fish only with live rock, or fish only?
I will say that this is one case where bigger is better IMHO.
It is easier to keep the water stable on a larger tank and many of us find ourselves constantly wanting more tank room.

So get the biggest tank you can afford or fit.

I am planning a reef tank.... I seem to like them more. This should be a good hobby to get into.

It's a great hobby, though I warn you it gets expensive. LOL
If I had any idea.
With that said though it is worth every penny.
I love my reef and my seahorse tank.

The karma fairy is people who gave you karma for a good post or joining the site like in your case. Its just a way of thaking a person.
