Jumping into this bottomless pit

Hi guys. Hello and Gooooood morning! .....My name is Paul and I started this hobby after a friend evagelized how challenging, fun & beautiful keeping a marine tank can be, 8 months ago. So I converted my fresh fish tank - L- 5ft5ins B- 1ft8ins D-3ft. No overtflow in this tank, no sump and I did'nt want to buy a new tank as I was unsure. Surfing the web, one day, I learned that I could use the Dr Jaubert plenum system as an alternative. I did that and so far so good. I hope it works for at least 3 years otherwise it's going to cost me more to redo everything again. That can make you breathless. I am asthmatic, you know. Anyone out there on a plenum system too? Will appreciate tips.
Thanks and nice meeting you guys. Cheers

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~
