Thumbs up Greetings and Salutations!

I have been posting here for not long now and want to thank everyone that has responded to my posts.

I had freshwater tanks for years. Nothing real fancy. Gravel and simple filters.

When a friend at work said that someone in his development was selling a 55 Gallon tank complete with stand and stuff I thought.. woo hoo! I finally get a saltwater.

My initial dream of wanting to put a shark into the tank was dashed when I found out that a min 100-150 gallon is needed. Oh well.

So I got the water and the live sand and used the 60gallon biowheel to keep things stable while my sump system was being shipped... then got 46 lbs of Fiji Rock from a decent place here.. http://www.lifeoceanic.com.. their setup is awe inspiring.... raced home and got that settled.. it was fun landscaping the rock.

Then the end of the week my Pro-Clear Aquatics 75 came in. I got a Magnum 700 GPH pump and hooked it all up. It came with a skimmer and all. I let the tank cycle for a couple of days and then got my water tested. Perfect. I then decided to add my first fish. Went to my LFS which is http://www.coralreefsaquarium.com. I added:
  • Domino Damsel (Domino)
  • Three-Striped Damsel (Elvis)
  • Yellow-tailed Damsel (Smoothie)
  • Chromis (Bumper)
Let that go for about a week and then had the water tested again. Did a small water change and everything again is great. Tried getting some more. Was given for my birthday some fish to go along with the UV lights that I was given. I was told those lights would be what I needed to keep the anenome ok. So here we add:
  • Green Bulb Anenome (Stinger)
  • Yellow Watchman Goby (Banana)
  • Tomato Clown (Nemo)
The Anenome did not do good from the get go. He closed up and then started to open up a little bit so I figured ok he was ok. Then I woke up the next morning and he was face down in the sand. Turned him over and fed him. He started to perk up a little bit but then died. Got a credit from the LFS for him and then waited a bit.

Decided I wanted some color in the tank and I got some more fish with the credit.
  • Dwarf Flame Angel (Diablo)
  • Strawberry Basslet (Terminator)
A grisly scene took place when I introduced these fish into the tank. Domino went nuts and attacked all the fish. He killed Bumper and took out Elvis's eyes. He was euthanized for his actions.

Then yesterday I added:
  • 5 Small Astrea Snails
I am going to see about picking up some crabs today on the way home, but other than that I have to watch my spending for a bit. Promised my gf that I would not make any more big purchases for a while. Well other than the Greek Ruins collections I purchased for the tank. I thought it looked kick ass in the set up of my LFS with all the purple algae in the tank.

Thanks again for the help everyone has given me so far!
