hello

hey guys ,

just thought i'd say hi as im a newbie to this forum

i have a 6x2x2 tank stocked with ocean and lava rock supplemented with about 15 kilos of alphagrog

fluval fx5 canister filter

1x 5ft t5 highbar with 2 tubes

2x 5ft t6 marine blue actinics

2x 4ft t5 marine white tubes

3 seio 820 powerheads with total output including the fluval at 7720lph

4x dominoe damsels

1x royal gramma

1x banded coral shrimp

1x white tipped star polyps

1x trumpet mushrooms

1x white mushrooms

1x feather duster

tank has been running for about 2 months and so far touch wood everything is fine, god this hobby really grabs you by the short and curlies

265 Gallon Reef built into basement wall. Lighting = 6x250 watts MH, 2x96 watt PC ,and 2x140 watt VHO for a total watt of 1,972 watts . New addition on 4-14-07 of 100 gallon sump and 100 gallon refugium. I think I have lost my mind. Gotta love this hobby Vicki

wow sounds like quite a setup you have there what are the dimensions of the tank and what sort of inhabitants do you have

hi mate,

not sure how many us gallons but its 150 uk gallons , yes its 6'x2'x2'

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Sorry I missed that Dave.. You can see pictures here.

My 265 gallon in wall reef.

I think the measurements are 7 ' x 2' x 30 inches deep.
