Greetings Everyone!

Hello everyone, my name is butch. I'm an electrician from Uxbridge, MA. My tank has been set up for about 6 weeks now. Here's a list of the specs:

Oceanic 90 Gallon Bow Front Tank
Oceanic Stand and Canopy
Kent Marine 60 Gal Hi-S RO\DI Unit
20 Gallon Precision Marine Sump
Precision Marine Bullet One Skimmer
Sedra KSP900 Skimmer Pump (900GPH)
Precision Marine Calcium Reactor
Eheim 1048 reactor Pump
Mag 12 Return Pump
2 Maxi-Jet 1200's to Spray Bars
CoraLife Turbo-Twist 6X 18W Sterilizer
Jalli A27 Light Fixture W/2-250 MH's + 2-39W T-5 Atinics
All Heaters Removed
Pacific Coast CL-280 Chiller
Neptune AquaController 3 (all direct-connect control)(ethernet to PC)
Oceanus Posiedon Top-Off Controller
60# Fiji LR and 100# Indonesian LR
40# Aragonite
60# LS
Everything is on back-up generator

For livestock, all I have is a very good clean-up crew, a good size Xenia
a red tree sponge and red ball sponge (got the sponges for free)

That's about it. I think I have all the major parts in place. Now I'm just waiting for the tank to mature a bit before adding anything.

Have a great day, Butch <wow you guys have a million of these things!

Re: Greetings Everyone!

Howdy Butch, welcome to Reef Sanctuary.

I was reading over your specs, and maybe I misread, but you don't have any heaters in your tank?

I guess with all those pumps you probably don't need any...

*Disclaimer*
i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

My MH's raise the water temp 1 deg/hr. There's very little heat loss through the 1/2" glass so I can never get the tank below 76 even with a fan blowing on the sump. I ended up buying a chiller.

Thanx for the welcomes everyone!!
