Hi one more? calcium I have not added any but even true my water changes it's still 480 I was using red sea every week till I found out my cal was to hi my other? is do I need to add any thing else like Buff and trace

Don't add any supplement that you haven't tested for first. Get a alkalinity test kit prior to adding any buffer. Also note that alk affects ca and visa-versa so you'll need to keep a check on both when making adjustments to either one.

Most rely on trace element replenishment via water changes.

Hi ya Miguel!
Welcome to Reefsanctuary!!

Don't buffer until you measure the alkalinity in your tank.
Depending on the chart in your test kit....your readings should be in this range.
2.5 - 4 meq/L or 7 - 11 dKH

If they are then dont do a thing, your right on the money.

Don't dose for anything you don't test for first to make sure you actually need it.
