Question diatom

hey guys later ill take pics for my other post i just have the lights off cause of diatom in my tank,other then killing it with turning the lights off and water changing is there something else i could do to speed up its die off? btw remember im going fishless right now and the only other things in my tank are about 3 small polyps...3 clams and a couple other things that came on my LR....any suggestions would help me

SAINTS 9 & 0 undefeated still,though the last 3 games were bad.....come on guys,get it together huh

The best thing to do, assuming your water parameters are ok, is do nothing. A diatom bloom on a new tank will pass fast enough, and messing with the process is more likely to do more harm than good.

It could, but when you add additional live rock, you should first cure it in a separate container, so when you add it, the water more or less matches your reef, and there is little or no die off. This goes a long way toward reducing algae problems.

right i got that,i just added my first batch cause it didnt matter since im going fishless right now but and new rock ill cure it first

This right here was the best advice I found for my brown algae issue. As I triple check my water parameters and couldn't find anything, gave it a few days, did nothing except my normal routine, and the algae dissipated.

Thx for the advice.
