| recovering overfeeder ![]() | Re: Hair Algae Still Ummm, let's just say that I have an emerald crab and hair algae. So I would have to say no on that one. I wish. I just ordered a lettuce slug, that is suppose to eat the hair algae. I have asked on this site about the hair algae as well, and they recommend a sea hare, but they only eat hair algae and are difficult to keep when it is gone, I gather.

| Neon dottyback | Re: Hair Algae Still Sea hares do eat hair algae, but you have to care for them like a pet, don't think of them as just a cleaner. If they die, so does your tank, so there care will be very important. Lots of things eat hair algae, emerald crabs certainly do. Here is what you should let us know: What are your water parameters like? What do you have to compete with the nuisance algae? What is your current clean up crew like? |
