mangroves

i want to get some mangroves, where is the best place to put them. sump?
i have seen them placed in the overflow is this ok?

From what I understand - they like the mucky water, and need some light, I have a few in my fuge and they are doing ok

I am planning to keep mine in the Fuge. They need some light but don't need/want high intensity lighting. You'll also want to daily spray their exposed leaved with Fresh Water to wash the salt spray off.

I have seen them in an Over Flow with success.

I have thought about mangroves but it is just one thing too many at this point. I would like to throw some in my sump one day. I hear they are great exporters.

You just want to make sure the growth tip (the top skinnier end), is above the water, they remain still, and they will grow like crazy for you. You don't have to go crazy with the lighting, I have had great success with a 20watt compact flourescent on 5 plants. Good luck!
