Chiller algae?

What is the light brown algae that pops out of my chiller once in awhile?

Ok......

Boozeman's on timeout. Weird.......

Hard to say on the brown algae. Good even be a type of cyano bacteria.

People come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: Chiller algae?

It's hard to get a pic. It ends up floating in the water. I comes out in chunks and almost looks layered. Maybe it's detrius pileup and not algae?

Re: Chiller algae?

The nature of the brown stuff is a mute point! The chiller coils need to be flushed out.

Re: Chiller algae?

Perhaps just a prolonged strong blast of water from the hose. Maybe hot water from the sink ? I assume the coils are made of Titanium or high grade stainless. A diluted bleach solution would kill the algae without reacting with whatever metal the coils are made of. If it's anything like B Mans video, It may require a stake driven thru somewhere!
