green algae

I have green algae on my rocks and now moving to my sand. I don't have a pic of it but any ideas if its good or bad? It's look pretty on the rocks but i dont want it on the sand.

Make sure your water parameters are in check. Also, what kind of clean up crew do you have? And, what type of lighting do you have and whats the lighting schedule?
