Thanks Steve for your feedback. I'm glad your fish are full and happy.

It is customer feedback and word of mouth that has helped launch our start up company off to such a great start!

Here is a clip I shot yesterday and added to our home page of an incredible SPS tank feeding our food.

    Re: Reef Frenzy

I posted when I was rushed.

    I also wanted to add:

The food arrived with dry ice still inside and the flat packs were rock hard. I can't get them home from the LFS this frozen. Very nice job packaging.

The food doesn't have the smell that fish food usually has. I'm sure it's because it is so fresh.

FYI Larry: Being a small start up you might be able to save a few bucks, with a smaller box and a little less dry ice. For the heck of it I closed the box with the dry ice inside and checked the following day and there was still some dry ice in it. I only put the styrofoam lid back on and closed the flap, I didn't seal anything.

    Great job and great food.

    Re: Reef Frenzy

Thank you Steve for the compliments!

We looked at a lot of shipping options and the company that makes those coolers is not far from my house, IE....I get free delivery from the sales lady each week.
The cost of the coolers is not that bad and the coolers are exactly 6" wide as our our packages, so the dimensions are perfect for us to fit 15-17 9 ounce packages.

We try and have individuals place group orders with friends or clubs to save you all money.

If we tried to find a smaller box, the savings wouldn't be much and also, you should realize we live in NC and started shipping food this past summer. We NEEDED all the space for enough dry ice to last the trip in 95-100 degree heat to places like SC and GA.

We are always open to suggestions and appreciate your feedback. I still aim to keep the packaging and dry ice costs around $12 and then ground Fed-Ex is usually $9-15 depending on if its going to a business or a house. I will try and do specials in the future such as $5 off shipping for repeat customers or something like buy two packs get one 25-50% off or similar.

Well it's official.. my tank is HOOKED on "Larrys Food". My problem now is fighting the urge to feed more often because every thing in the tank seems to be BEGGING for more food LOL!

I agree with Steve re:smell - This doesn't have the usual "Smell" that I've seen (smelled) from competitors frozen foods and there seems to be a lot of "Meat" per serving and no "fluff".

    Re: Reef Frenzy

    Thanks guys for the kudos!!

Today was an exciting day for us, as we we received a phone call at 900am this morning from Coralgasm.com in Florida. They have been using and evaluating our foods for the past couple weeks in their coral propagation tanks.

Today they informed us that our Reef Frenzy blend has been stimulating their corals like crazy and they LOVE the freshness of the food and lack of fillers or "junk"!

They requested a custom blend of our foods in bulk packaging, minus the veggies and Nori, but ground a little finer to be used strictly as a coral food. In return they will tell all their retail customers that their newly purchased coral "was grown on a steady diet of Reef Frenzy."

This is an awesome development for us since their Facebook has almost 4,200 followers! I am sure when they post that they are exclusively feeding our blends on Facebook my email will be blowing up!!

It's a good thing I installed a 7 foot stainless double basin sink and additional 6 foot stainless workstation this weekend.

When you have a good fresh product, with no BS and honest marketing to help your fellow hobbyists, it almost sells itself I guess.
