i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Re: Huge Clam Anyone?

The clam is about 7-8" wide 5-6" tall 4-5" deep, there is a pic of it in my old tank in my gallery...that pic is a year old. I moved to a new home and of course, a bigger tank but I still need to get rid of it and get something smaller. I will post new pics soon.

Re: Huge Clam Anyone?

kitty hawk is 4.5 hours one way for me... from raleigh
i have a 195 corner tank that it would look great in
i don't have time to drive up there anytime soon (damm work) but i would pay to have it fed-ex overnite priority if you have a good styro box. if you don't let me know, i can ship one to you.
if your not in a rush i could make a plan to drive out and it pick it up in 2-3 weeks becouse i would have to really have plan a full day off of work to do it. and besides i have never been to kitty hawk so maybe i would make it an overnite trip on the weekend

You live in Raleigh and have never been out there!!!
This is a good time of year to go as the tourist season winds down. We used to go every winter when I was a kid, a few times we even got there with snow on the sand.
I go up OBX every few weeks now between Sept and January to try and catch some surf.
