| Limpet | Re: Never before Seen "Cosmic Swirl" frags and lots more Purple Hornets! As for this favia: The are fine in all light. Actually they were brown when I got them and I forgot about them and they were in total dark for about 6 weeks thats when they got their amazing color. They do like the high light and have brighter color but have richer color in lower light. If that makes sense.... I have NEVER seen sweepers on these. They have never eaten.

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: Never before Seen "Cosmic Swirl" frags and lots more Purple Hornets! I don't have this favia (YET) but the ones I do have have small "tentacles" just after lights out (I've usually just fed) and then later on you can see much longer more pronounced SWEEPERS. I've found the best way to view them is to shine a flashlight across them from the side. The tentacles really show then.

| Star Polyps | Re: Never before Seen "Cosmic Swirl" frags and lots more Purple Hornets! I have had a xmas favia for over 2 years and for the first time about a month ago I saw its feeder tentacles when I added some cyclopeeze to feed my other corals. So sometimes they just take a really long time to adjust to captive life. How long have you had the favia for? thanks Keith
