Galaxea Frags in NC

Finally fragged up my Galaxea that was getting way to big for my tank. Pic has asking prices posted on it for the frag letter listed. Its a green tipped looking Galaxea that has grown very well for me in 2 yrs. Picture shows it a few hrs after I fragged it up in to all the pices listed.

These are for local pick up only in Durham NC off hwy70 area

The following are already sold.. A,B and D in th pic.

Re: Galaxea Frags in NC

Hello,

I'm in Chapel Hill. I'm fairly new to the hobby. Right now I've got a 29g biocube, and by the end of the week, I'll have a 72g bowfront. Would these be able to live under the pc lighting of the biocube for a couple of weeks while my 72g tank cycles? After the 72 is cycled, lighting wont be an issue at all.

Re: Galaxea Frags in NC

We have some in a Nano cube with 72watts of lighting and they have been ok. If you want one you could try it but I also keep one here till your ready and your tank is cycled. Thats probably the better option of the two.
All the small frags A, B, D are taken so only the larger ones are left.

Re: Galaxea Frags in NC

It's hard for me judge how big these frags are. How big would you say the biggest and smallest frags are? I'll definitely pick some of these up btw. Maybe sunday if that's good for you?

Re: Galaxea Frags in NC

I sent a PM to you but for others info:

Approx sizes as they are hard to get precise size when in the tank...
The frags are about 3" x 3" on the largest one down to 1 1/2 x 1.

F= 2 1/2x 2 1/2
E=2x3
B=1 1/2 x 1
I=3x1
G=3x3
H=Triangle shaped 3x2

That could be turned "gutter-ish" all too easily

so DID you get some frags of this? you know what the NEXT question is...

When in doubt... wait it out. This means take it slow and let the tank "develop" and don't rush it. Time is your friend

Great piece of coral. It opened right up the next day. No sweeper stingers so far!
