They are mostly phontosynthetic but some will also accept and benefit from direct feeding. I have some that LOVE mysis shrimp and others that don't ever accept feeding. For these corals it's really "All about the light".

Hey flric we need to do some wheeling n dealing after the 1st of the year. One of those frag packs would be SWEET in my wife's new 6g NanoCube.

see like a year ago, my LFS got these really nice blue yumas.

i see the same morph, like a blue dom. rainbow color for like 80-100 a polyp.

they gave me the rock with 5 for 30 bucks. said it was christmas spirit.

they all dissolved and gooed up on me in like a week. these are one of 3 things that died for no reason explainable by bob.

ive stayed away from yumas and rics ever since...

Bob did you check Nitrates? They don't tolerate "trates" well at all. I'm not saying it's NOT a lighting issue but I know they don't do well and shrivel/dissolve when they can't get away from the "Trates".

yea,no. trates were good. that was when i tested like every day.

i was told, in the callamophs place on RC that WILD caught yumas are notorious for immediatly starting a slow dissolving demise in our reefs.

so i assume they were like "wild"

but round these parts all you see are bleached nasties. then when you do see a good one, its as much as an equal size of fancy micros. and i still have yet to dop a bill+ on any one piece...

'specially since the only one i ever had died. but so did all the LFS'...

How's your tank doing? I guess you're done hiding under the blanket stalking your critters right?

I'm looking forward to hearing back from flric about these packages under CF lights. If they will work I am going to get my wife one after the 1st of the year for her work tank
