Re: D3monic's Mandarins

I am sure I would concider that option if and when that ever happened. To my understanding it would be almost a year before they are even big enough to concider selling. I would be lucky to get them to a few weeks old let alone that far along. Sooner or later its bound to happen though. All I can do is research and learn.

Cool well good luck with that and hope you get it to the point where you are able to fully rear them, looks like your doing good so far.

Re: D3monic's Mandarins

Last friday night I had the pumps off to collect a spawn. It got late and I decided to feed my coral since everyones polyps where extended. Apparently I passed out and never turned the pumps back on. I woke up to the tank at about 73 degrees. All but one of my fish where dead. I lost both my Mandarins, both my flasher wrasses , cleaner shrimp and 100's of amphipods. I have been doing daily water changes to prevent the tank from crashing or getting too big a cycle. So far everthing looks ok. My corals bounced back and my bangaii is about bullet proof. I am in the market for another Mandarin pair but I am going to take my time and collect some real show pieces.

Re: D3monic's Mandarins

It was completly my fault so I can only be upset at myself. I took the pumps off the light switch and have them on the controller now. I set finally figured out how to adjust the feed times so I set one for 1.5 hours for general feeding and one set for 2.5 hours for spawn collection. Hopefully this will rule out any future human error.
