Re: D3monic's Mandarins

Been out of the game for alittle while due to illness. I lost alot of Mandarin fry and all my cultures. Im all better now and getting back into the swing of things. I have collected Mandarin spawns the past 4 nights in a row all happening at 9:40pm darn near on the nose. Just started new rotifer cultures along with a smaller unidentified zooplankton that I collected from my DT that I am culturing by itself in a 5gal bucket. Hopefully the unidetified zooplankton will reproduce and serve as a good first food. They where too small for a 53um sieve.

Re: D3monic's Mandarins

No unfortunatly not yet. The best I have done is Alittle over 200hours old. Thinning and crashing rotifer cultures have been my bane. I plan on setting up more cultures of several different species of zooplankton this time around. Hopefully that will help make the difference. I have also been informed on what I was doing wrong with my rot cultures so hopefully i can rectify that and prevent crashing.

Re: D3monic's Mandarins

I'm sorry to hear you've not been well, but at least you're on the mend now! I'm really interested in how you get on with your project! Such beautiful fish and wonderful to watch.
