Clarkii breeding?

My clarkii clown pair have been laying eggs recently and I would like to try to raise them. I have done alot of reading and think I understand the basics, however I know there is a lot more to learn and doing it is different than reading about it. My first problem is how to collect the spawn? I know a lot of people use a tile and transfer it but my clowns prefered spot is in a cave on the largest piece of live rock. Is there any way to collect the larvae after the hatch in the tank? The clowns are the only fish in the tank.

Re: Clarkii breeding?

wait until the night of the hatch turn off your returns and power heads. Than when you turn lights out wait about an hour have a bucket and some tubing ready shine a light into the tank this attract the fry and you could use the tube to suck them out. you need green water and rotifers ready thow. they should be in 24 hour light. Al this information is things ive read online and never done. not sure if it will work or not. if im wrong someone please chim in.
