Wink Something Weird Happen

Alright im new to reef keeping about 8 months now my corals range from mushrooms to sps but my question is that i have two mother colonies of pocillopora well one night around 8 and 9 i saw this milky stuff come of them just for a second from both of them then the next week i saw things start to move around my aquariams not the ususal stuff but could anybody tell me what happen

Could you describe this part in more detail? It almost sounds like they release gametes, but I don't know what would have triggered it (usually it's shortly after the first full moon in August, I think.)

The stuff that was moving around... what did it look like?

Poci's have a tendancy to release polyps and you'll notice baby colonies other places in your tank. I don't remember the scientific term for it but I hope that helps.
