Re: Rearing Picasso Percula Clownfish!

Whoa there GSellers.
I don't appreciate you bringing up that issue here on my thread.
That should be dealt with via PM between you and Michael.

Doni,
That is great!

Not like you aren't busy enough with everything but I can't wait to see pics of the new guys.

Tomorrow I am stopping by Jeffs, I have a little gift for him from the baby picassos owners (Blake and myself) for all the trouble he went through on delivery day.

Debbie

Have you thought about eventually writing a book on this stuff when you are done. I know Joyce did not initially think she would but heh.

Id be interested to find out what would happen if the snowcasso was female and the onyx was male and visa versa... the genetics of clownfish facinate me.

It would be nice to get my hands on WC jigsaw perculas to use for broodstock. I had a pair but they didnt get past QT. refused to eat, would not move, etc. No disease visable. Just not happy.

Never thought about writing a book but I guess my notes would fill one...
That's too bad about the WC jigsaw

I did not want to breed the snowcasso siblings together and instead chose to add fresh genes to the pool.

They are currently in QT for 8 weeks and then the introductions will begin.

I am VERY excited about them and can hardly wait to see what their offspring will produce. .....now where can I find some Barry Manalow music?? LOL~

Ohhh.. photos to follow soon...

Re: Rearing Picasso Percula Clownfish!

I'm not getting it. You used two plain ol' Perculas for all these babies, right? Will Onyx X Picasso/Snowcasso give you something different or the exact same thing?

Re: Rearing Picasso Percula Clownfish!

Humm.... basically I want to raise offspring from my snowcasso but I do not think it is a good idea to breed them together (siblings). So I am adding new/fresh genes. Picassos/snowcassos are perculas with extra white markings.
I do not know what they will have.
