Neon Gobies

Today I received a mated pair of neon gobies. I had a ten gallon ready for them and I filled it up with pvc and a little sand. The pair are a tank raised pair and i understand that they breed quite quickly so I also wanted to have a few questions answered to if y'all don't mine.
Where is the best place to get rotifers?
Which is better to use live phyto, or concentrated phyto?
What is the best way to collect rotifers for larval feeding?

Thanks.

Re: Neon Gobies

Can't you get them through the store? You work in one of Charlestons biggest lfs. I am surprised Brian cannot supply them.
Here is a place on line. quick Google search:
YCT, Pseudokirchneriella (Selenastrum), Artemia Cysts, and Saltwater Rotifers (Brachionus plicatilis)

Live Rock Rubble will do the SAME thing as Bio-Balls and is NOT a suitable replacement for BIO-BALLS in a Reef System! It's ALL gotta go!!

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Re: Neon Gobies

Fish Update:

These two fish seem to be adjusting well to the tank they are eating mysis and are spending a lot of time together shearing the same cave.
