well, i am glad i was patient and sorry fellow members for being impatient. now the two of them are getting along and now they hang out by each other and they sleep together. they both guard my barnacle. and the smaller one (nemo) shakes at the larger one (dory). it is interesting to watch them.

Submission shimmie by the male is a sign of pairing.

that is great! the larger one quivered at the smaller one for a while as dominance i think but now i've been spotting the smaller one do it.

What size do female A. ocellaris get when full grown? How long does it take for them to reach their maximum size?

they normally get on an average of 3 inches when they are full-grow. it take 2 years and up for them to reach maximum size depending on diet and water quality.lack of nutrition and bad water quality will stunt their growth but if the conditions are good you will end up with a mated pair. mine are still young uns. my female is over an inch and the male is under an inch. they just hit some growth spurts. i feed my clowns ORA glo pellets.
