Doni, you really don't have to train them, by instinct they look for a flat smooth surface to lay eggs on close to their nest. I used a 4" tile but you could use a 4" clay pot too....

Ahhh... okay.

Here is a pic of my male ocellaris clown tending to fry. I was 'bare bottomed' then. I have since gave the pair away to a local reefer.

Wonder what is going on in my tank, must be love in the air... umm water.... now this morning two blue/green chromis are going through the mating motions... even looks like they are attempting to lay eggs on a rock...

Here is an update, the chromis have layed twice now and I figure I have about 7 to 10 more days before another clown clutch. Got my rotifers in so I'm getting them started today and setting up for an attempt. Hopefully this clutch will be viable enough to start, but my have to go another 2 weeks, no worries just means I'll have that many more rotifers and green water ready.

Yep. Look closely and you can see eyes!

Where do your chromis spawn? On the back glass? a rock?
