Prizm Skimmers - Page 2

i used a red sea skimmer ,,,they are ok with the recommended mag5,,,,but they are really good with a mag7.

I got the Prizm.

Dog gone micro bubbles, I hate em!

I will try the 'panty hose' method Monday.

I originally had a Prizm on my 55g, but replaced it with an AquaC Remora. I just couldn't get the hang of getting the Prizm to work consistently. I was constantly adjusting it, and most of the time it was either producing no skimmate, or it was drawing out water.

The Remora is definitely worth the higher price, in my opinion. It's practically zero maintenance. I take out the collection cup every four or five days and clean the inside of the tower, that's about it. It's more quiet than the Prizm, too.
