    I'll work on the pictures.
I modified the stand, then determined that the stand must go. But all my tools are in Colorado. So I guess I should look for someone to build a stand for me.

I also ordered the Apex Lite with ph probe.
Still no live rock, and I am not 100% sure I want live rock or if I should just use dry rock.

I have a problem now and I am not sure I will continue this build. The 28g Nano Cube is not really 28 gallons it is 23 gallons with filter area filled.
see this 28g JBJ LED Nano Cube or is it really?

Re: 28g JBJ LED Nano Cube Build

    Ok quick update:
I am moving away from the JBJ 28g nano cube. It's not what I ordered. Support from JBJ is bad and the place I bought it from aquarium-supply.biz was a horrible experience and I warn anyone that if your ordering an aquarium, do it local and not over the Internet just to save a few bucks. It could end up being a bad experience as mine and will cost you more in the long run. In my case, it's not over and I'll let the courts decided what's right. You advertise your tank as being 18"x22"x22" it had better be that and not 18"x17 3/4" x 17 3/3.

I'll move onto a RedSea 130d and will be getting it local. My local guy had bad feelings about JBJ also. Seems that if they can't measure correctly, what's the rest of their products like.

Re: 28g JBJ LED Nano Cube Build

You wouldn't be the first person to equate JBJ with Just Bought Junk. But to be fair I think every all-in-one system has it's flaws. My first tank was a 130D - I literally replaced every single component except for the timer. Some people run them completely stock too. I did a review on the tank before I took it down to be an quarantine tank here. My review of the RSM 130D after 1 year

You might consider looking around your area for something on craigslist, we've seen some amazing deals pop up if you're patient. This might be a little out of your area but you get the idea.

Edit: I think a drilled tank is much better than an all-in-one but my next tank will have a 'Calfo' or coast-to-coast overflow, but chances are you won't find one of these around, you would have to have it made or make it yourself.

I don't think you can go wrong with a Red Sea Max, though as stated above you will find a few folks that aren't as happy with them. I'm sure you've perused the RSM forum here. Tons of beautiful tanks there.

    Hi cyclist,

I feel your pain. I have a JBJ nano cube as well. Here in the forum, I chronicled my issues with a leak in a back compartment. I purchased on line yet worked with JBJ to rectify the situation. Their customer service is lacking. They did replace the leaky aquarium - I had to remove everything (pumps, lid/lights, and so forth in setting up the replacement.

With optimism, I am happy with the replacement aquarium and hope there are no other issues. Hang in there. Quickly, I found out that this hobby is my 'crack'!

Waiting on the new tank to come.
The JBj Nano Cube is going into storage until that mess get sorted out. I talked to guys there at JBJ and was amazed by their lack of knowledge. If we can't trust their measurements on a tank, how can we trust their claims on their other products?

It seem they are not aware of the laws we have to protect consumers and competitors against false advertising.
