Re: Biocube Refugium

I bet you could convert the filtration area into one. I think i have seen this done.
How are your hand skills? Would you be able to build a box out of acrylic? I belive the back panel is acrylic, you could router some slots into the back, glue the box onto it, and have a return pump from a sectioned off area. You could also buy a hang on refugium like this one:

Re: Biocube Refugium

Im thinking of a fuge in this 12 gallon Aquapod, in the second chamber. It fills from the bottom from the 1st chamber. From what Ive read Id add Live Rock rubble, Cheato, and a light source to focus on this second chamber. does this sound right? Thanks as always...

Re: Biocube Refugium

Sounds about right to me. You may want to be careful with the rubble. IME it traps detrius and needs to be cleaned periodically. Others disagre so just watch it and make your own decision.
