| Ricordea | cycling tank with DEAD freshwater muscle not knowing it was freshwater i grabbed it out of my friends work were they cook them and i know its dead... because it open and its yellow and it like melted and i just know for a fact its dead. that will create waste and ammonia right? |

| Tuxedo Urchin | Re: cycling tank with DEAD freshwater muscle If you have LR/LS and a skimmer going (ie; basic setup), then just let it go for a few weeks and test the water every few days... just have patience and once done, add livestock slowly and it'll work out great. Just don't add anymore weird things into your tank! ![]() |

Do your tank a favor and don't put anything else in it until AFTER you research what it is and what its requirements are...that goes for fish, inverts, corals, everything. The goal is to do what's best for the animals...
