substrate deal

Just wondering where the best deal for pure white sand substrate is. I know someone here has the source. I am horrible at the search function (doesnt seem to work for me, but i did try). Thanks again!!!

Are you looking at live sand or dry sand?? It's the shipping that can make a good deal a not so good deal!

Live sand, preferred.

Live sand is more expensive to ship since it is really heavy. You're in Florida and I'm sure there are some really reputable sellers on the East Coast - I'm west coast so that doesn't help you... Check into the sponsors of this site...
I'm sure other east coasters will chime in to give their recommendations...

You don't need 100% live sand.

Put 75% dry sand in the tank and cover that with a thin layer of live sand on top. It will all be alive in a few months. Spend the extra money on corals.

I agree with RCpilot. I found petsmart has the cheapest sand.
