Re: Sick Clownfish

You can use your regular food and just soak it in garlic. I do that with all of my store bought foods and add fresh garlic to my mush as well. Fish seem to like it and some say it boosts their immune system. Regardless it can get picky fish to eat so I use it.

Re: Sick Clownfish

Once the fish is cured, the parasite eggs are still in the water. What can I do to keep him from being re infected? I only have the one tank.

Re: Sick Clownfish

I'm at a loss for words right now on what the exact name of the fish is, however ask at your LFS about what fish it is that will eat the parasites in the water and off the fish.
There is such a thing, however if there aren't enough parasites the fish will, die as that is what they live on.
They may be able to help you out with that one more.
Hope that is a viable option.

my baby regal tang got ich after four weeks in tank i cured it or controlled it by.... making mush food with flakes, ginger and garlic also added a garlic clove to the tank and fed once a day with garlic flakes.
the regal tang had a bath in medicine mixed with tank water in a tub every night for four days and raised temp in tank now three weeks on ich gone! no other fish got it!
