| Achilles Tang | powerhead placment Just got a hydor nano power head and im wondering where it should go. Right now i have it pointing against the current and behind the live rock but it seems like its digging out the sand behind the lr any suggestions where it should go here is a picture and diagram of the flow. The line from the power head goes behind the rocks. Please excuse the diatoms lol ![]()

| Tunicate | Re: powerhead placment I would leave it in the same area but closer to the surface.Just enough to ripple the surface.Better gas exchange that way and the flow should still reach to the bottom.

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: powerhead placment I like mine down lower but pointing more UP! This seems to create very nice "rippleage" and the water being drawn TO The PH creates a good flow along the bottom of the tank. In my 10g tank I have two of them on a wave maker routine and they are up AT the top on either side pointing down to the other side. This creates some CRAZY flow at times. I think you'll enjoy the Nano K ![]()
