| Elegance coral | Re: once white tonga branch lr It very well could be brown algae, I am having the same problem and my tank has been up for 6 months now. Try cutting back on the time your lights are on and check your water parameters. Also do you have a clean up crew yet? |

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: once white tonga branch lr It's very possible that's it. All of our Live Rock leaves that pristine white color behind. That's actually a GOOD thing. It will turn brown, then maybe green and hopefully ultimately you'll have it colored up with zoas and some other corals ![]()

| www.kids-with-cameras.org ![]() | Re: once white tonga branch lr Well the goal is to have coralline grow over it. Coralline will keep any unwanted algae from growing on it. Yes you will go through a diatom stage. Try and keep your water prams steady, (ca++, alk, ph, salinity, etc..).

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: once white tonga branch lr Looks perfectly normal to me. While diatoms are very normal in a new set-up they will remain if your water source is lees than good. Are you using ro/di for water changes and top-offs? If you are then it will go away with a bit of time.
