| See Golden Compass   | Just saying! I am new here and have tried my best, but I have gotten some attitude from some of the more experienced members. Just saying, and I hope the future this doesn't happen to me or anyone else. I know I asked some "beginner questions", but I still don't think that is an excuse to pick on someone. Thank you Reef Sanctuary, and thank you everyone else for your time.. |

While it has been a day or so since I read the thread I remember it being more of a debate amont othe members than picking on you, We all try our hardest to be nice on this forum and mostly succeed, Occasionally siomeone will get out of hand and they usually get a note from the modetatores We try out best to be a friendly helpful site but there is much in the hobby that is up for debate or opinion. Try to take it that way and not personally since that is likely how it was meant.

| Golden Moray  | Re: Just saying! I'm sorry you feel beat up. I know you really, truly want to do the very best things. Please try not to take from-the-heart advice as being mean to you. I remember early on that DaveK said to take my one little fish and crab out of my DT and set up a QT and start over. Empty my tank, get rid of all the sand and water etc. I cried and almost gave up. I even felt like he was being "mean". Well, you know what? I DID get the QT and do exactly what he said. It was good advice. Saved me a great deal of heartache. Looking back, I realized he wasn't being mean. He was being honest and helpful. It just wasn't what I wanted to hear. I ended up sending him a thank you note telling him I really owe him! That's just my experience, but if you feel hurt, see if perhaps people are just being helpful and not hurtful. |

| Golden Moray  | Re: Just saying! We like you here....and your questions aren't a bother to RS and I don't think anyone meant to hurt your feelings or be abusive in anyway. Wouldn't know what we would do without anyone posting beginner questions, I think we all learn from them, I know I do, and if we really want to get technical they are all beginner questions, some just on a higher level ....

My first post on reef forums was regarding my bubble tip anenome. All the advice I received was to take it back to the LFS as it wouldn't thrive. I didn't listen  and ended up killing it.
