Can someone help me identify this plant??

Hello again,

Well, my AquaPod 24 is going on nine weeks! For some time now, I've been getting this green growth on only two places in my tank and it seems like almost"overnight" the formation has gone from small to HUGE.

I actually kinda like the way it looks in the strong SunPaq lights but I am worried if it's a "good" or "bad" algae.

Here are some pics I just took a little while ago with flash and only the LED lights running. Should I remove it, pare it down or introduce a fish that will eat it and if the latter, what kind of fish???

It seems to have come from the live rock it's growing on. I didn't buy it, it was not even there 8 weeks ago when I got that piece of Tonga branch.

Re: Can someone help me identify this plant??

the little sea anemones looks like a mojo or hydroid Myrionema could be a aiptasia but i dont think so. either way they are considered a nuisance and spread big time. the only real difference is the myrionema and mojo can grow just as good in good quality water, aiptasia usually spread in high nutrient conditions.

still thinking the clump is a type of seagrass.

Yes, I believe you're right, I looked at several photos of Bryopsis online and it's a perfect match. I also learned that it's not a desirable plant growth ...

What's the best way to clip this nasty bugger out without spreading it?
