| Tunicate | what is this green algae Hi everone this is my first post on here. My question is i am getting this green algae on my rocks and glass and its spreading really fast started about 2 weeks ago the thing about it its really hard to get of the glass when i look at the glass it looks like green dust on it its more of a bright green in color i have checked my water levels and they are good i do have reading of nitrate about 10. My tank has been up for 5 months now its a 100gl tank with 115lbs of LR and 145lbs of sand.I am using the Nova Extreme w/lunar lights 8 bulb fixture i have them on for about 6 hrs every day. So if any could tell me what it is that would be great going to try and post some pics hope they come out ![]() |

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: what is this green algae spider8u ! ! !Looks like normal algae growth to me. It's part of the reef ecosystem and it's what makes all the rock look more uniform. I would suggest getting some algae eaters (snails) to help. Keep it scraped off the glass often or it's a BEAR to get off later. Allen ![]()
