Glueing sch40 PVC to Acrylic

I'm in the middle of building a HOB protein skimmer. At the bottom of the skimmer is a 1/2" sch 40 outlet pipe to return water back to the aquarium. This 1/2" pipe is located in the center of the acrylic closure plate at the base of the skimmer. The pipe fits very tightly into the hole I drilled in the bottom of the closure plate, but I want to make sure it's water tight. How can I glue the PVC to the acrylic. I'm using Weld-On 16 to glue the rest of the acrylic. Will Weld-On 16 work for glueing PVC to acrylic?

Thanks

The guy that built my tank said that "PVC pipe cement will bind sheets of acrylic to gether, but it looks like crap because its blue". Weld-on should work for the pvc too if that is what you used on the acrylic.

Good luck

use Weldon 4052, if you want a strong bond with the two cross linked plastics.

Here's a link to TAP Plastics. They should be able to point you in the right direction:
