canister filter

What is a good flow rate for a canister filter pumping for a 30 gal? Also, are there any brands that are reliable? thanks

Re: canister filter

I agree with Boozeman on manufacturer, but would only use a canister filter for Fish Only set-up......other than that use it to run carbon once a month atleast.

Re: canister filter

I probably wouldn't use a canister filter at all. It's a collection point for Nitrates - which you don't want any of in a SW tank. I would just suggest going with a sump and using powerheads for water movement.

Re: canister filter

FLUVAL... carbon and LR... for a 30L? go with somthing big rated at 300 gph+ and get the extra parts for two out-flows.
