useing the skimmer during cycling

should i use my skimmer during cycling i have a 20 gal with a 10 gal sump made into a rufugium. yesterday i added live rock and a deep sand bed with live sand. thanks for the input

Absolutely!! Removing dissolved organics is always advantagious!

You will be suprised at the nasties it pulls out of the tank from the rock and sand alone.

Yes , It may take a week or two to break in as well... You will want it working well when you start to add livestock

Lighting = 6x250 watts MH, 2x96 watt PC ,and 2x140 watt VHO for a total watt of 1,972 watts . New addition on 4-14-07 of 100 gallon sump and 100 gallon refugium. I think I have lost my mind.
