| Tunicate | Sump Return Problems I Am Having Problem With Keeping My Sump At A Steady Level. I Have A 80 Gal Aqua System Tank, I Have Turned The Aqua System Into A Refugium ,i Have A Separate Sump To Run My Skimmer,the Problem Im Having Is The Sump Level Will Not Stay In One Spot. It Either Drains To Fast Or If I Run The Optional Control Valve It Will Run Dry. The Pump Im Running Is A Rio Aqua Pump 2500 , Is This Pump To Much ? How Do I Keep The Water From Doing This. This Happens With In Minutes Of It Running. I Have Now Disconnected It, Im Scared Of Getted Flooded Or Burning Up My Pump While Im Sleeping. Please Help. Thanks |

| Dragon Moderator ![]() | Re: Sump Return Problems What type of overflow do you have in the main tank? What diameter of pipes are you using for the overflow and the return pump? What's the size of the sump? It sounds like this is you're limited by the amount of water that your overflow can handle and you might need to either upgrade that or restrict the water flow back from the sump.
