| Tubeworm | Hello, working on getting my 155 up and running! Received Carribean rock yesterday and here is my question. Should I put a established Fiji rock in with the Carribean to kick start the coraline or should I wait until this rock cycles for awhile. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

| Wannabe Guru ![]() | Re: Cycling Rock Question I would wait and cycle the caribbean rock seperately because the ammonia spike could kill some fauna or any fish you may have in the tank. How much fiji and caribbean are we talking about ?

| Tubeworm | Re: Cycling Rock Question 150 lbs carribean and approx. 70 lbs of fiji. The fiji is in a established tank with fish. The carribean is in a new set up to cycle. Eventually all will end up in the larger tank when ready. I was not sure about adding a (one) cured rock to help the cycle process in new tank. |
